Anyone can apply for an Adoption Certificate, they are public documents.
Adoption Orders can also be gained from the original Court who issued the Order.
What do I need to get an Adoption Certificate?
You will need either a previous copy of the Adoption Certificate or certain details that would normally be included on it.

Things to remember
A new Adoption Certificate can be ordered on your behalf if you don't have one or don't want to use your original.
Under no circumstances is it possible to apostille a photocopy of a UK Adoption Certificate, even if the copy has been certified by a solicitor.
It IS possible to apostille a photocopy of a foreign Adoption Certificate, so long as the copy has been certified by a UK Registered/Practicing Solicitor.
