Disclosure Scotland Apostille Certificate
Similar to a DBS Check, Disclosure Scotland assists employers in making informed decisions about hiring individuals. Scottish citizens are required to undergo a criminal record check when seeking paid or unpaid employment, volunteering opportunities, or when involved in processes like adopting a child. If it has been signed by a Disclosure Scotland official, we can apostille using our Basic Service.
If it has not been signed by an official, we can apostille a Disclosure Scotland using our Enhanced Service. This will include solicitor certification and the FCDO apostille. Only the original or a PDF copy can be apostilled. It's NOT eligible for the e-Apostille service.

From 1st April 2025, Disclosure Scotland have changed the way they issue Certificates. Only digital Certificates are issued now BUT only physical copies are allowed to be apostilled. You can request a paper Certificate but not until 10 days after the digital one bas been issued.
Alternatively, if you know you need one for the purpose of legalisation, you should order a paper copy here.
