Gender Recognition Certificate Apostille
To have your "affirmed" or "acquired" Gender, legally recognised in the UK - in order to update your Birth/Marriage Certificate, to get married in your affirmed gender or to have your affirmed gender on your Death Certificate, you will need a UK Government issued, Gender Recognition Certificate.
You will NOT need this document to change your Driving Licence, Passport, Medical/Employment records or Bank Account.
The apostille itself can be placed on an original document, provided it is signed/stamped in ink by a member of the Gender Recognition panel OR U.K. registered/practicing solicitor/ Notary Public. If you need to arrange a solicitor certification, please see our Enhanced Service.
